The Fresh Market currently has an opening for a Director of Retail Media in ouir Store Support Center (099). The Director of Retail Media will build, scale and lead The Fresh Market Retail Media platform as a high-growth, supplier-funded business. This leader will define the strategy, commercial model, media products, partnerships, operations and measurements required to connect The Fresh Market’s first-party customer data, loyalty capabilities, digital commerce channels and in-store media assets.

The Director will develop relationships with suppliers and agencies, create measurable omnichannel programs and translate media investment into guest engagement, category growth and incremental profitability. The role will work across Merchandising, Marketing, Loyalty, Data & Analytics, E-commerce, Store Operations, Finance, Technology and Cencosud teams.

This role will report to our Chief Digital Officer.

Retail Media Strategy & Business Development

• Develop and execute a Retail Media growth strategy, including annual revenue and profitability targets.
• Define the Retail Media value proposition, product portfolio, inventory, pricing models, sales packages and go-to-market approach.
• Build a scalable operating model covering commercial planning, campaign governance, measurement, reporting and financial controls.
• Evaluate and recommend Retail Media technology platforms, data capabilities and strategic partners.
• Maintain a roadmap that connects Retail Media with digital commerce, loyalty, personalization and in-store experiences.

Media Sales & Supplier Partnerships

• Build executive relationships with national and regional suppliers, agencies and strategic partners.
• Lead annual and seasonal joint business planning for Retail Media investment.
• Develop a disciplined sales pipeline, revenue forecast and advertiser renewal process.
• Create media kits, proposals, case studies and performance narratives that demonstrate measurable supplier value.
• Design sponsorship, product-launch, category, seasonal and experiential programs aligned with The Fresh Market brand.

Omnichannel Media Products

• Lead monetization across website, e-commerce search, mobile app, email, push notifications, loyalty offers, social, digital circulars and future off-site media.
• Develop in-store media opportunities across digital screens, displays, endcaps, sampling and experiential activations.
• Create integrated programs that connect digital exposure with store and e-commerce conversion.
• Ensure media placements strengthen the guest experience and protect the premium positioning of The Fresh Market.

Measurement, Analytics & Data

• Establish campaign KPIs and standardized advertiser reporting.
• Develop measurement approaches for reach, conversion, ROAS, incrementality, sales lift and brand impact.
• Partner with Data, Loyalty, Privacy and Technology teams to enable responsible use of first-party audiences.
• Build executive dashboards and recurring business reviews for performance, pipeline and profitability.
• Translate campaign performance into optimization actions and compelling advertiser insights.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Align Merchandising, Marketing, Loyalty, E-commerce, Store Operations, Finance, Analytics and Technology around Retail Media priorities.
• Define clear decision rights, workflows, service levels and accountability across the campaign lifecycle.
• Represent The Fresh Market in strategic conversations with Cencosud Retail Media teams and external partners.
• Build and develop a high-performing Retail Media capability as the business scales.

At a minimum, what you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Digital Commerce or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Retail Media, digital advertising, e-commerce, loyalty, CPG, media sales or omnichannel retail.
• Demonstrated experience developing supplier-funded advertising or commercial partnership programs.
• Strong knowledge of digital media, retail analytics, attribution and campaign measurement.
• Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing revenue and profitability targets.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong executive communication, commercial judgment and analytical problem-solving skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Grocery, specialty retail or food industry experience.
• Experience launching or scaling a retailer-owned media network.
• Familiarity with loyalty, personalization, first-party data and privacy-conscious audience activation.
• Experience with sponsored search, onsite media, offsite media, in-store digital signage and closed-loop measurement.
• Knowledge of leading Retail Media ecosystems and agency buying models.
